Come as you are.

This is a space to slow down, reconnect, and gently return to yourself.

The Willow Room

Counselling for Growth, Grounding
& Gentle Transformation

The Willow Room Counselling is a space for when life feels like it has become too much to hold alone.

Named after the willow tree, a symbol of resilience through flexibility, this space honours the quiet strength it takes to bend through grief, change, and overwhelm without breaking. The willow does not resist the wind — it moves with it. In the same way, therapy here is about finding steadiness within life’s uncertainty, not forcing yourself into strength that feels out of reach.

This is a place for grief that lingers, anxiety that tightens its grip, burnout that has left you depleted, and life transitions that leave you feeling ungrounded or in-between versions of yourself.

You don’t need to arrive with clarity. You only need to arrive as you are.

Together, we slow things down enough to listen to what’s been carrying you, gently making space for what feels heavy, confusing, or unspoken, so that something more grounded can begin to emerge.

Through our work together, clients often begin to feel more connected to themselves, more emotionally grounded, and better able to move through life with clarity, self-trust, and compassion. Therapy can become a space to better understand your patterns, regulate your nervous system, process painful experiences, strengthen relationships, and reconnect with parts of yourself that may have been lost beneath survival mode.

The Willow Room is where you are met with warmth, presence, and room to exhale.

About Me

I’m Tanya Vall (she/her), a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor - candidate (RTC-c), with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada. I am based in Vancouver, BC, and offer a grounded, compassionate space for folks navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, life transitions, and overall wellness. My practice is rooted in somatic and mindfulness-based therapies, drawing from holistic, existential, and feminist perspectives. With a background in Anthropology, Indigenous Studies, Gender Studies, and years of frontline work in the Downtown Eastside and hospitality industry, I bring a deep respect for each person’s lived experience and inner wisdom.

The Willow Room Counselling is a place to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and heal in your own time. It's a path back to your body and soul.

Reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, especially if you’re used to carrying things on your own. You don’t have to have the right words or everything figured out. I offer a gentle, supportive space where you can show up exactly as you are. When you’re ready, I would be honoured to walk alongside you in your healing and growth.

You can expect

"Support in finding language for what has felt confusing or hard to put into words."
