Hello
Welcome!
I’m really glad you’re here.
If you’ve found your way to this space, you might be moving through something that feels heavy, uncertain, or overwhelming. This is a place where you can feel safe and supported to work through what's felt challenging for you. You will be met with empathy, compassion, and a warm, non-judgmental presence.
My Story
My path into counselling has been shaped by my experience in life, my academic background, and the work I’ve done in community. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology, with Minors in Indigenous and Gender Studies and a Certificate in Social Justice, which continues to inform how I understand people within their broader social, cultural, and relational contexts.
Before becoming a counsellor, I spent several years working in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside in women’s shelters, drop-in centres, and outreach programs, as well as supporting perinatal clients navigating addiction and complex life circumstances. These experiences deeply shaped my commitment to showing up with compassion, humility, and respect for each person’s lived experience. Earlier in life, I worked many years in the restaurant industry. Being in service to my community, whether through hospitality, social services, or now in therapeutic practice, has always been a central theme in my life.
I take a holistic, client-centred approach to therapy that integrates mindfulness and somatic awareness. I’m interested not only in your thoughts and experiences, but also in how those experiences live in the body. Together, we’ll create a space where you can explore what’s coming up for you, whether that’s anxiety, relationship patterns, grief, trauma, or life transitions, while building tools to help you feel more grounded, connected, and supported. I believe therapy should move at your pace, and that you are the expert of your own life.
At the heart of my work is the belief that you already hold the capacity for healing and growth, even if it doesn’t feel that way right now. My role is not to fix you, but to walk alongside you offering reflection, care, and guidance as you reconnect with your own inner strength and sense of self. You don’t need to have the right words or a clear starting point. You’re welcome to come exactly as you are.
Therapy is here for you!
At The Willow Room Counselling, I offer virtual counselling for adults across Canada, including online therapy in Vancouver, Victoria, Kelowna, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Winnipeg, Regina, and throughout BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and Ontario. My approach is trauma-informed, somatic, relational, existential, and feminist, supporting clients navigating anxiety, grief, burnout, overwhelm, life transitions, relationship challenges, self-worth, emotional regulation, and nervous system healing. Therapy at The Willow Room integrates compassionate talk therapy with body-based awareness, attachment-focused exploration, inner child healing, mindfulness practices, and deeper self-understanding to help you feel more grounded, connected, and emotionally supported. Whether you are seeking counselling for stress, people pleasing, childhood wounds, women’s mental health, healing after difficult relationships, or support through major life changes, this space is designed to help you slow down, process your experiences, strengthen your relationship with yourself, and reconnect with who you are beneath survival mode.
